Through his 25 years in the industry, Dan has helped clients navigate through a variety of market environments. He tailors advice and investments to the individual, with an understanding that each person’s challenges and goals are unique.

Early in his career he served with the Federal Home Loan Bank Board in Washington, D.C. He began his work in the industry in institutional financial services, with positions that brought him to San Francisco and Los Angeles. In the early ‘90s, Dan moved back to Utah to work as a financial advisor, wanting to make a more meaningful impact on people’s lives. He takes a long-term perspective, managing and preserving wealth while also managing risk.

Dan joined Raymond James in 2019, drawn by the culture of the firm and the independence it supports. Before that, he served as a managing director and investment officer at Wells Fargo Advisors and its predecessors for 18 years. His background as a financial advisor also includes roles at PaineWebber and UBS.

Dan earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Utah in 1980. He lives in Salt Lake City and is married to Cindi Louie; they have two children, Alex and Niki.
