Raymond James expands technology & services investment banking offering with addition of senior banker

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Raymond James is continuing to expand the capabilities of its Technology & Services Investment Banking practice with the hiring of Evan Schutz as a managing director. Schutz has nearly 17 years of investment banking experience and has focused on the technology sector for the last 15 years.

“We are thrilled to have Evan join the Technology & Services team and look forward to his contributions in the information services and data / analytics sectors as well as his energy and collaborative spirit that we value so greatly on our platform,” said Jon Steele, co-head of Technology & Services Investment Banking.

“Evan’s transaction experience, industry knowledge and relationships will complement and deepen our existing coverage in these sectors, which will enable us to provide our clients with further insights and creative solutions in our role as their trusted advisor,” stated Brendan Ryan, co-head of Technology & Services Investment Banking.

Based in New York City, Schutz joins Raymond James from Houlihan Lokey’s information services, data & analytics investment banking group. He previously was with the media & information services investment banking practices at DC Advisors and Sagent Advisors after working in the global energy group at Morgan Stanley.

“The information services, data & analytics sectors are highly dynamic and continuously evolving - comprised of fast-growing, workflow-oriented companies that provide mission-critical products and services to decision-makers across a variety of industries. As such, it’s crucial for clients to partner with investment banking professionals that possess deep sub-sector domain expertise and are equally passionate about their clients’ respective products and services,” said Schutz. “The entire team at Raymond James is rooted in a service-first culture and is dedicated to delivering successful outcomes to clients, and it’s a privilege to be here.”
