Spring 2023
If I had to guess, I would say that most people get the oil changed in their cars on a regular basis. In fact, many cars or dealerships now have regular reminders to make that appointment to take your car in to be checked. It’s not necessarily the most exciting appointment we may schedule, but we know it is necessary to make sure that your car continues to run like a well-oiled machine (pun intended).
There are other people you see on a regular basis to make sure things still look good: your doctor, dentist, optometrist and probably even your CPA. These are all important people to visit at least annual to have a checkup, confirm any life changes and make sure your course of action is still the best plan ahead.
It’s no surprise where this dialogue is headed….we need to be a part of this list as well. Our annual meeting with you is an important time for us to get caught up on anything new that has happened since our last discussion, as well as regroup with any updates or changes to your financial or retirement plans.
Our time with you is a crucial part of our planning process. Sure, things happen throughout the year, some of which you have already shared with us, and some of which we need you to provide an update. This meeting is the best time to make sure we are all on the same page. Bring with you your questions, your concerns, your recent employer retirement plan statements, your adult child or trusted contact that you want to be a second set of ears. In return, we give you our time, our ears, our market updates and investment discussions. It is a time for us to listen, advise, talk and strategize with you.
Our team includes Cliff, Stacy, Mike, Jodi and Kasey. Jodi and Kasey reach out on an annual basis to schedule this annual strategy meeting. Cliff, Stacy and Mike are whom you will be meeting with: you could be meeting with any of us individually or a combination of any of us as well. We are a team and are all here to work for you. In other words, if you meet with Cliff and Stacy one year, it might be with Mike and Stacy the next year. You might meet with Mike one year, and Cliff or Stacy the next. We all keep the team informed so that regardless who is looking you in the eye during your annual meeting, know that it includes the whole team.
Not only do we consider our time with you as an integral part of our working relationship, but also as a fiduciary, we are required to make sure we meet at least annual. We take our job as your advising team very seriously and consider it a pleasure to work with you. If you prefer to get together in a particular month of the year, let us know so we can plan to reach out for that time. We can meet via zoom or in person or even over the phone. Technology has given us so many ways to make this easy for you. When Jodi or Kasey call or email you to set up our meeting, be sure to get back to them promptly so you can have first picks for the day or time that works best for you. We look forward to our time together with you.
