Jim Zientara is a native of Whiting, Indiana, near Chicago. He received a B.S. from Purdue University in 1966 in math and a minor in physics. Two years as a junior high math teacher. Then an MBA from Indiana University in 1970 in finance and management.

  • In 1970, he joined the Trust Investment Department of the Continental Bank of Chicago.
  • In 1972, he moved to Florida and joined the Trust Investment Department of the Palmer Bank of Sarasota. He was on the Investment Committee of the Florida Bankers' Association.
  • In 1975, Mr. Zientara joined Dean Witter, now Morgan Stanley, as a financial planner.
  • In 1989, he received the title of Certified Investment Management Analyst®(CIMA®) from the Wharton School of Business.
  • In 1990, he joined the Kiwanis Club of Bradenton, Kiwanian of the Year in 1999, and on the Board from 2000-2002. He was a founder of the Manatee PC Users Group and is a member of the Bradenton Country Club.
  • In 2009, he joined Raymond James Financial Services and opened a branch in Lakewood Ranch.

He enjoys computers, golf, and amateur ham radio with call sign of W4MAN. Married 58 years to Francie, a retired high school English teacher, they have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. They enjoy traveling, watching movies in their home theater, and being parents/grandparents
