The average college graduate with a bachelor’s degree will earn $2.8 million over his/her lifetime. Doing what I do you see things that others may not be privy to. In the ancient days of starting out, I would call folks from alumni directories. I was amazed at how many people spent $200-300,000’s to get a job that paid $30,000. It was equally amazing to find high school graduates who worked their way up from blue collar jobs to run companies and amass millions of dollars.

Not every son or daughter is meant for traditional college. As a parent, be open and honest with your kids. Help them find something they will love doing without the value judgement of whether it is a college path or technical school path. Help them find their true calling and maybe you can take that money you saved for college and help them get started in business.
