Raymond James further expands Private Capital Advisory Investment Banking practice with senior banker hire

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James is continuing to expand the capabilities of its Private Capital Advisory Investment Banking practice by hiring Jeffrey Bollerman as a managing director. Bollerman has more than 20 years of experience in the private equity space with expertise representing sponsors of private capital vehicles or their investors and creditors, financial institutions, government agencies or other owners with structuring insight, liquidity alternatives, pricing intelligence and transaction execution.

“Jeff is a proven leader in complex secondaries advisory. His addition further strengthens our sponsor-led and LP secondaries solutions practice, bolstering our team of over 40 in private capital advisory,” said Sunaina Sinha, global head of Private Capital Advisory. “Adding his expertise to our team further strengthens our commitment to providing industry-leading service to clients in this growing segment.”

Based in New York City, Bollerman joins Raymond James after nearly 12 years with Houlihan Lokey’s financial institutions group, where he was a founding member of the secondary practice and established the firm’s leading position in advising holders of longevity risk. Prior to that he was at SecondMarket and was head of private equity product development at Citigroup. Bollerman graduated cum laude from Furman University with bachelor’s degrees in history and political science. He holds both a master’s in history and a law degree from the University of Virginia. He began his career as a private equity and hedge fund formation attorney at Ropes & Gray LLP.

“As private-market investors and fund managers assess the risks and opportunities of the current environment, reshaping their investment approaches and portfolios will be a priority for many,” said Bollerman. “The private capital secondary market remains the key mechanism for facilitating these changes at speed and Raymond James is well positioned to aid the PE fundraising community through its boutique service level and international platform.”

Founded in May 2021 with the acquisition of Cebile Capital, the Private Capital Advisory practice is a leading private fund placement agent and secondary market advisor to private equity firms with service offerings that include fund placements, general partner (GP)-led secondaries capabilities and limited partner (LP)-led secondaries advisory. Through thoughtful growth, the platform has expanded in both the U.S. and London with a number of senior hires, which allows the firm to further serve the market and its continued focus on secondaries.
