Vaccinations and Improving Economy
If you are like me, it is nice to see familiar faces again in person without masks. (But everyone please remember to follow CDC guidelines when it comes to masks or no masks.) Clearly, progress is being made in the fight to eradicate the covid-19 virus.
And the economy likes it as well. Consider the following monthly highlights as of the end of May, 2021:
- US Covid-19 trends continue to improve as 295+ million vaccinations are administered.
- The ISM Manufacturing Index remains in expansion territory for the 12th consecutive month.
- Jobless claims fall to the lowest level since the pandemic began.
- National Home Price Index rises at the fastest year over year pace since 2005.
The fight to end covid-19 is not over, but things are looking better. That is good news for now!
