Interview with Richard Klopp on Why Africa Remains Poor

Drew does a two part interview with entrepreneur, philanthropist, international social impact expert, Dr. Richard Klopp. Rich is the owner and founder of the consulting firm, Avenir. His career was catapulted when he was asked to be the launch Executive Director of Matt Damon's water charity, originally called the H2O Africa Foundation, now known as Water.org. Part 1 of this interview focuses around the hot button issue of why most charity sent to Africa is squandered and sadly how most of these funds end up in the hands of predatory African governments that seek to keep their citizens in poverty. Rich also explains why the local African entrepreneurs, not large NGO's, are one of the key ingredients necessary for prosperity.
