Debbie Smith is a Senior Vice President in the Atlanta, Buckhead office of Raymond James. She has over 25 years of industry experience, specializing in investment analysis, portfolio management, and financial planning. Debbie formerly held management positions at three regional brokerage firms, with her most recent position at SunTrust Investment Services, where she spent the last 17 years of her career.

For the first 13 years of her career, Debbie’s focus was on product due diligence, specializing in money managers, mutual funds, ETFs, variable annuities, and portfolio construction. In 2007, Debbie made a career shift, moving from product management to consultative financial planning with families and individuals. This is where she found her passion – being able to help others achieve a comfortable lifestyle and happy retirement, while providing them financial confidence.

Debbie is from Dayton, Ohio, and has lived in Atlanta since 2001. She graduated from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, a women’s college in Baltimore, MD, with a degree in mathematics. She is an active member of the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. She is married, and enjoys spending her free time with her family and yellow lab, Kooper, frequently visiting St. Joseph, Michigan and Rosemary Beach, FL.
