The Hiring Process

Hiring, for us, is so much more than matching resumes to open positions. We’re dedicated to giving every candidate an equal opportunity to show their potential. We dig deeper by utilizing reputable assessments with a proven track record of predicting job performance. Every candidate applying for a job takes the same set of assessments that try to uncover general aptitudes as well as abilities related to the job. We go through this rigorous process to ensure you’re up to the job, but also to assess potential for growth within the firm. It’s why we take the time to really get to know you – and for you to get to know us.

What you can expect during the hiring process:

  1. Search and apply for the positions in which you’re interested and qualified.
  2. A recruiter will review the applications of candidates whose skills and experiences match the job description. Of course, those who match best will be contacted by letter, email or telephone to continue through the process.
  3. Your recruiter will communicate the process and interview timeline for the specific position.
  4. Please note that all external hires or rehires undergo a criminal background check prior to their start dates. If you are extended a job offer, you must complete an I-9 form prior to your start date in order to verify eligibility to work in the United States. Certain business units may also require additional compliance checks (e.g., a credit check, education and employment verification check, FBI fingerprint check, a motor vehicle record check, etc.).
  5. If you’re not selected for your desired position, we encourage you to continue to search the Raymond James career website and to apply to any other positions that fit your background and experience. Applications will be saved for six months. If a suitable match develops, we may contact you for an interview.
