The Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts

Raymond James Financial is proud to be the title sponsor of the Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts. Rated as one of the top art shows in the country, the festival brings the original works of several hundred participants to the streets of downtown Tampa and attracts artists from all over the world. In addition to its financial support, Raymond James coordinates more than 300 volunteer workers during the festival.

The growing diversity of the show is evidenced by the wide range of media presented, including painting, watercolor, drawing, graphics, ceramics, paper, fiber, jewelry, mixed media, photography and sculpture. The quality of entries continues a trend that began in 1971, when the festival first exhibited artwork in what was then a sleepy section of downtown Tampa. The show was one of the first efforts to revitalize the central city, and the growth of the festival has been mirrored by the addition of new downtown landmarks.

Last year’s prize money totaled $61,500 including the $15,000 Raymond James Best of Show award.
