History of the Wildlife & Western Visions Art Shows

For 12 years (from 1999 to 2011), Raymond James hosted the Wildlife & Western Visions Art Shows with The Plainsmen Gallery of Clearwater, welcoming renowned artists and guests to its St. Petersburg, Fla. campus.

Celebrating the finest in wildlife and Western art, this nationally recognized show highlighted approximately 19 internationally acclaimed wildlife and Western artists each year, including members of the esteemed Cowboy Artists of America association, popular Florida artists, and fine Native American jewelers.

The Wildlife & Western Visions Art Show drew serious art collectors from all parts of the country. Several of the artists featured in the show don’t participate in any other shows “east of the Mississippi,” so it was a rare opportunity to meet the artists in person.

The show was highlighted in the April 2008 issue of Southwest Art magazine and in the March/April 2007 issue of Art of the West magazine.

Tours of the Tom and Mary James/Raymond James Financial Art Collection were provided during the show.

Award-winning artists featured in the 2011 Wildlife & Western Visions Art Show include:

Tom Browning, CA,* R. Tom Gilleon, Grant Hacking, Matthew Hillier, Hyrum Joe, Oreland Joe, CA,* Gary Niblett, CA,* Dustin Payne, Vic Payne, Julia Rogers, Charles Rowe, Tom Saubert, John Seerey-Lester, Suzie Seerey-Lester, Ernest Simmons, Geoffrey Smith, Joshua Tobey, Trevor Swanson and David Yorke.
